The national death toll remains at one.

Health officials say Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person.

Symptoms include fever, skin rashes, and swollen lymph nodes.

The GHS is advising the public to avoid close contact with people showing symptoms, wash hands regularly with soap and water, avoid frequent touching of the eyes, nose, and mouth, and wear a mask when caring for a sick person.

The service says it is monitoring the outbreak, tracing contacts, and intensifying public education with support from regional health directorates.
