The NPP fraternity within the Southern part of Kwahu are mourning the demise of its constituency Chairman Mr. Noah Kwame Oasfo affectionately referred to as Otafregya.

Otafregya’s demise do not only leave a huge vacuum within the party’s structure in the Constituency, his articulate visions, ready-to-act and proactiveness and efficiency will be a daily – remembrance call by his party members.

 

Otafregya, as widely known, took a long illness sometime in January shortly after the 2024 General elections. According to the party’s Constituency communications director, ‘Barrister’ Annor who confirmed the news to Republic Online’s Andy Frimpong Manso, the chairman had been admitted for more than a month at Ridge Hospital in Accra and Korle – Bu respectively, where he has been seeking medical support for the last five months.

His unfortunate demise occured earlier this evening, Thursday, June 26, where he was pronounced dead after months of battling illness that has inundated him unmovable.

“It’s very unfortunate. Chairman took ill right after the general elections. He has been admitted to and flo at the Ridge and Korle Bu hospitals since January.  The sickness had become so severe that he feels pains even when you touch any part of his body”, Annor said with a bereaved voice.

Mr. Osarfo Noah was serving his second term as the party’s Constituency chairman until his unfortunate demise. He’s believeed to be in his late 50s.

The Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency, Davis Ansah Opoku together with leading party members have poured in their condolences to the bereaved family.
