King Faisal and Dreams FC will face each other in the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup final after both teams recorded a victory in their respective semi-final games during the weekend.
Dreams FC on Saturday came up against Skyy FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex and managed to beat the division one side by 2-1.
Sylvester Simba put Dreams FC ahead early in the game with a beautiful curler from outside the 18-yard box after a poor clearance from the Skyy FC back line.
Minutes after Dreams had taken the lead, Skyy FC had the opportunity to equalize after they were awarded a penalty in the 5th minute but missed the spot-kick.
Dreams, however, punished Skyy FC and scored the second goal at the 19th-minute mark through Ali Huzaif.
The division one club got a consolation goal with 15 minutes to the end of the first half.
Results remained the same in the second half, sending Dreams FC to the finals of the competition.
On Sunday, King Faisal came from a goal down to beat Nsoatreman 3-2 to book their place in the finals of the FA Cup.
It was a difficult game for both sides, but coach Ignatius Ose-Fosu’s men showed resilience and managed to get the victory that set them up against Dreams FC in the finals.
