Head coach of Benab FC Abu Adams has blamed his side’s defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup on poor officiating, saying it was a deliberate attempt on the side of the referee to let Kotoko win.
Abu Adams said after the match that he was not happy with the officiating as that gave Kotoko the opportunity to defeat them.
“I am not happy because the officiating was not good for us. It seems they gave them the opportunity to score us,” he said.
He added that despite the defeat, he is happy with how his team performed though they lost concentration in defending the corner kick that led to the Kotoko winner.
“They lost concentration, but they played well. I am happy with how my boys played but I am annoyed because of the officiating.
“They gave us five minutes but allowed them to play eight minutes for them to score us, that is why I am not happy.”
