MTN Ghana has pledged two million dollars in support of the Black Stars World Cup campaign in Qatar.
The telecommunication network made this known to the Ghana Football Association during a partnership deal with the Football Association at the GFA headquarters in Accra.
As the 2022 World Cup draws near the Black Stars would need all the support, they can get to make the nation proud in their fourth appearance at the world stage.
Speaking at the event, the Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Yussif thanked MTN Ghana for their continued support towards Ghana Football.
He added that the nice gesture by MTN will motivate the players to give their best in Qatar.
The CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh said their sponsorship with the Black Stars is not something new hence the need to support the Black Stars again.
Our sponsorship with the Black Stars is just a reinforcement of the faith they have in the Black Stars and football in the country. He added.
The partnership deal will allow fans to watch Black Stars matches on MTN’s unique platform, Ayoba.
The world Cup is expected to take place from November to December this year.
Ghana’s first game is against Portugal.
