The Chief Executive Officer of Jonyah Farms and Agro-processing Enterprise, Mr Joseph Anyah has revealed that his Agro-processing factory is not part of the government one district one factory initiative.
The factory which is located at Abuabugya in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti region has been added to the Akufo Addo Bawumia government initiative 1D1F but no documents are in support of it.
According to the CEO, neither the government nor the MP for the constituency consulted him during this initiative but he was prompted by a good Samaritan that his company Jonyah Farms and Agro Processing Factory has been captured in the NPP’s 1D1F Initiative.
According to him, government nor the Member of Parliament Mr Owuraku Aidoo has been at his factory site to give him a pesewa or support to run his company.
The winner of National Best 2021 Agro-processing says, he has done a follow-up to the 1D1F secretariat to check but No response has been received and therefore, his company is collapsing due to the 1D1F Initiative. He added that banks are denying him a loan to invest in the factory.
Mr Jonyah stated that the Member of Parliament of Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, Owuraku Aidoo added the factory to his 2020 political achievements under 1d1f when going into the general elections. He’s however giving the MP a 72hrs ultimatum to come and respond or face legal action.
Mr Joseph Anyah in an interview with the media said the factory can employ five hundred workers at a go if the factory is running but currently, funds to purchase raw material is a problem.
