The list of the various representatives of the Central Government has been released by the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Developments, Hon. Dan Kweku Botwe on behalf of the President with a lot of confusion and agitations fusing in from a rampaging supporters.

In the case of the Kwahu West Municipal chief executive nominee, who is also the incumbent for that very position, Hon Yaw Owusu Addo, his renomination to mount the seat and control the affairs of the Western part of the Kwahu enclave wasn’t a difficult one as compared to others.

The former GBC broadcaster, who was speaking in an interview with Kwame Koranteng on Anɔpa Dawuro on Republic Fm, stated that his works and the commanding prowess that is associated with the mandate given him, convinced the President to reaffirm his continuing stay as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Nkawkaw constituency.

“As for that, I will say No, as the saying goes, if you’re given an opportunity to serve and serve well, you’re being given the opportunity to continue again because the people know what you did and what you can do and so the one who sent you, will continue to entrust you on issues pertaining to development”. He told Kwame Koranteng.

In his words, the past four years he was appointed as the MCE, Kwahu West has benefited from the quota of developments being initiated by the President and his government.

To him, with the kind of development he has been able to lobby for the Kwahu West Municipality, if there’s the need to reappoint anyone to lead the Assembly, probably, the president would have been impressed with his performance and hence, giving the opportunity to continue his good work.

“For the past four years, we have done a lot of work. Looking at the development the President has embarked on, the Kwahu West Municipality benefited from every quota I think that ignited the President give me the opportunity to continue” he added.

Responding to the fact that after his renomination, Assembly Members across the Kwahu West enclave would have to go on a voting spree to confirm his appointment, Hon Yaw Owusu Addo reiterated that, with all the development that has gone on in the municipality, there were all part of the discharge of his duties, therefore he is very optimistic and confident that, they will approve his appointment.

“They are my brothers, I’ve worked with them for fours years. If you look at the development across the Kwahu West, I did it with them and so if I’m been renominated, it’s also a honour to them. Its their mandate and responsibility and so moving forward, I don’t think anything unwanted would come in” he told Kwame Koranteng.

Touching on the utmost legacy he would like to leave behind, the honorable MCE said, there are a lot of work that needs to be done and that is simply why the constitution has given a four – year mandate to every government and in the case of performance, the people have the right to give you another four years, making it eight years to complete all your projects and if you’re not living up to the task, they unanimously have the power to change your government.

According to him, a lot of social amenities have gone down in the municipality, ranging from school classroom blocks, electricity and water preservation.

He stated that, all rural areas under the Kwahu West Municipality have been given a befitting asphalted roads, making it motorable to commuters.

He also emphasized on the Kwadwo Nkansah – Kawsec – Apɛsika road which has been asphalted by the Akufo-Addo led administration.
