A police vehicle transporting suspects from Damongo in the Savannah Region to Tamale in the Northern Region has been involved in an accident.
The accident occurred at Tailorpe around Busunu on the Fufulso-Damongo highway.
Seven suspects and eight police officers onboard the vehicle with registration number GP 516 have sustained various degrees of injury.
They have all been rushed to the hospital.
It is unclear what caused the accident but warning shots could still be heard after the vehicle crashed.
