The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has launched a major operation targeting narcotics hotspots in Accra, focusing on suspected drug dens in Ogbojo and Madina.

The coordinated raids, described as tactically precise, form part of intensified efforts to curb drug trafficking and abuse in urban communities.

As part of the exercise, NACOC shut down the Viviz Cottage Eatery & Bar located in Ridge, near the DHL office, after intelligence reports linked the establishment to suspected drug-related activities.

Nine suspects were arrested during the raids and are currently assisting with investigations.

NACOC assured the public that the operation signals the beginning of sustained enforcement actions against drug networks.

The Commission also urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help safeguard their communities.
