Nana Ohene Ntow, Senior Policy Advisor to Alan Kyerematen, has criticized both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of corrupt practices that have damaged Ghana over the 32 years of democratic governance.
Speaking to supporters of the Movement for Change in Dormaa Ahenkro, Ntow urged Ghanaians to prioritize the country’s future over political party loyalty, stating that both the NDC and NPP have exhausted their ideas and policies.
He emphasized that corruption is the root cause of many national issues, such as the rise in illegal mining (galamsey), poor implementation of the Free SHS policy, and the failure of other flagship NPP initiatives.
Ntow called on Ghanaians to vote for Alan Kyerematen as the next president, arguing that Kyerematen has maintained a clean record and will not tolerate corruption in his administration.
He highlighted Kyerematen’s plan to promote made-in-Ghana products and focus on industrial production to boost exports, stabilize the cedi, and lower the cost of living.
Rev. Stephen Ayensu, an executive member of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change and a campaign team member for the Movement for Change, echoed the call for change, stating that 32 years of NDC and NPP governance have failed to bring significant improvement to Ghana.
He expressed concern about the high cost of living, numerous taxes, and rising inflation, and stressed that Kyerematen would abolish unnecessary taxes imposed by the current NPP government to alleviate the burden on citizens caused by poor governance.
