Narawa Mining Company Limited has firmly denied recent allegations linking Mr. Alfred Mahama, the brother of the President to its mining operations.

Addressing the media, the company’s Public Relations Officer, Adjei Baffour Acquah dismissed the claims as false and baseless. He stated that the company has become a target of envy due to its operational success and adherence to legal mining practices.

He said “Some individuals out of envy, have resorted to spreading misinformation about the company. When we began our operations, there were other mining companies already established under a previous government. These companies attempted to disrupt our work on our legally acquired concession“,

He further claimed that the change in government provided them with an opportunity to work freely, which has drawn the resentment of other miners who were unable to achieve the same level of progress.

“In their frustration, they have fabricated stories, including false claims that Alfred Mahama is involved in our operations. We categorically reject these allegations“, he added.

Mr. Acquah also highlighted the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible mining practices. He revealed that Narawa Mining has constructed its own dam for safe washing of minerals, which helps prevent pollution of nearby rivers.

He concluded by appealing to the President and regulatory bodies to recognize their legal and responsible approach to mining. We urge others in the industry to emulate our methods to protect the environment and avoid unnecessary destruction of property.
