The National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) has officially commenced in the Oti Region, with the first batch of beneficiaries embarking on their training journey. A total of 55 master craft persons and 275 apprentices are part of this inaugural batch, spread across all nine districts in the region.

The NAP initiative is a significant step towards empowering young people with employable skills, creating sustainable jobs, and promoting self-reliance across Ghana. The programme is a testament to the visionary leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Government’s commitment to addressing unemployment and skills gaps in the country.

Michael Nyurekyo Mampah, Oti Regional Coordinator, expressed heartfelt appreciation to H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Government for this life-changing intervention. He noted that the NAP will contribute to reducing unemployment, transforming the future of young people, and bridging the widening skills gap.

The NAP is expected to have a positive impact on the Oti Region, providing young people with the skills and training needed to secure employment or start their own businesses. The programme will also help to address the region’s skills gap, promoting economic growth and development.

The NDC Government’s commitment to empowering young people and promoting economic development is evident in the launch of the NAP. The programme is a key initiative aimed at addressing unemployment and skills gaps in Ghana, and its impact is expected to be felt across the country.
