Three senior officials of the McDan Group have reportedly been picked up by National Security operatives following the demolition of a warehouse under construction along the Spintex Road in Accra.
The site has since been declared a “National Security Zone” by personnel stationed there.
According to reports, the officials were taken into custody shortly after the incident.
The partially built warehouse is believed to be associated with renowned businessman Daniel McKorley, widely known as McDan, though the circumstances surrounding the demolition remain unclear.
The situation further escalated on Wednesday when armed military personnel assaulted a bystander who was being interviewed by a JoyNews reporter.
Additionally, JoyNews journalist Carlos Calony was also picked up by National Security operatives while covering the aftermath.
The McDan Group is expected to release an official statement on the matter in the coming days.
