The Babianiha community in the Jaman South Municipality is in mourning following the sudden passing of Nana Kwadwo Busia, a prominent local political figure.

Busia, 40, who was a vocal communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and known as ‘Akyiasi Busia’, allegedly took his own life at his cashew farm under unclear circumstances.

According to reports filed on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Nana Kwame stated that the day began without any signs of distress.

It is reported that Busia requested his favourite meal from his wife before allegedly taking his life.

The wife, who was returning home, heard a gunshot and discovered her husband in a pool of blood upon rushing back to the farm.

The news has sent shockwaves through the Bono Region, particularly within the NDC, where Busia was described as a dedicated communicator.

When questioned about the potential trigger for the deceased’s action, Nana Kwame stated that the specifics would be determined by the police.

However, based on available information, a friend of his was in custody, and there were fears that he might also be arrested for their joint involvement in a criminal activity.

The police have been notified, and the body has been moved to the mortuary for an autopsy.
