Former finance minister and flagbearer hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Duffour, has today Thursday, February 23, 2033, picked up his nomination forms.
Scores of individuals believed to be supporters of Dr. Duffour, led by the Ashanti regional women’s organizer of the NDC, Gloria Huze thronged the NDC headquarters, singing and cheering for him as they picked the forms on his behalf.
Dr. Duffour becomes the fourth candidate after former President, John Dramani Mahama, former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, and Businessman, Ernest Kwaku Kobeah picked up their nomination forms on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
The former finance minister speaking to supporters said looking at the current state of the economy, he is the best man to take the country out of the mess.
He also urged NDC members to vote for him to lead the party in 2024.
Individuals who wish to contest have till Friday, February 24, 2023, to pick their forms while submission and filing are expected to take place between March 20 and March 22, 2023
The NDC will go to the polls on Saturday, May 13 to elect a flagbearer to lead the party in the 2024 general elections.
