A popular member of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] in the Assin North constituency, Badu has pledged to join the New Patriotic Party should Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten win the upcoming presidential race to lead the elephant party in the 2024 general election.
In a viral video sighted by myrepubliconline.com, Badu was captured wearing a beanie and assuring Mr. Alan Kyerematen that should he be made the flagbearer of the NPP, he will abandon his NDC and support him till he becomes the President of Ghana.
The popular known NDC faithful in the Assin North Constituency claimed he has been supporting the NDC because the NPP has failed to elect Alan Kyerematen as its candidate.
Badu was effusive in his appreciation, believing that if Mr. Kyerematen is elected President of Ghana, he will place the country on a solid basis that will benefit everyone.
In Kumawu, a lady who is also a member of the NDC announced that if Alan is elected as the NPP’s flagbearer, she will no longer be a member of the NDC.
Mr. Kyerematen was in Assin North to support Charles Opoku in his bid to win the by-election.
Alan promises to run PFP Government
Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, one of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer candidates, has stated that he will lead a Partnership For Power (PFP) administration.
According to him, the PFP is mainly going to be based on running a government for the people, by the people, and of the people, where the people will have a majority say in his administration.
Speaking at the official launch of the AlanCash Donation Platforms program held in Accra on June 8, 2023, ‘Crescent Ketewa Biara Nsua’, Mr. Kyeremanten charged all Ghanaians to cooperate with Ghana and donate cash to support his campaign to ensure that come November 4, 2023, Alan Cash will be chosen to represent the NPP.
“In January 2023, when I resigned as Minister and announced my bid to contest the flagbearer of the NPP, I promised to establish a platform for Ghanaians and the NPP family to donate to support my campaign and true to it today we are launching the event,” he stated.
