A group of furious youth affiliated to the national Democratic Congress in the Awutu Senya East stormed the property of Daniel Kofi Amofa, the NPP’s Second Vice Chairman, accusing him of illegally acquiring 15 government-owned vehicles.

The protestors, suspicious of misappropriation, confiscated eight cars from his garage and turned them over to the local police. They demanded full disclosure from Mr. Amofa regarding how he obtained the vehicles and proof of rightful ownership.Nearby car dealerships

Mr. Amofa quickly rejected the allegations, insisting he only owns eight vehicles and not 15 as claimed. He explained that the cars were purchased legally during a government auction held before the 2024 general elections. He further stated that he possesses all necessary paperwork to validate the purchases and is prepared to provide them to the authorities.

The situation, covered by UTV, has ignited widespread public debate over the transparency of government auctions and the use of state resources by political insiders. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident, inspecting the retrieved vehicles and reviewing Mr. Amofa’s documents.Nearby car dealerships

This event sheds light on the growing public demand for accountability in governance and heightened scrutiny of politicians perceived to be benefiting from state assets under questionable circumstances.
