The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced the temporary suspension of all staff due to unresolved employment and financial concerns.
In an internal memo issued by the Chief Executive Officer to the Human Resources Officer, NEIP cited the complexity and legal implications surrounding employment issues, which have hindered the organization’s ability to pay monthly staff allowances using operational funds.
The memo instructed all staff not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, until the concerns are fully addressed. The management emphasized that adherence to due process is necessary to prevent further legal complications.
Furthermore, employees in possession of any NEIP property have been directed to return the items to the HR office by close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Failure to do so, the memo states, would be considered as deliberate theft.
Management has assured employees that once the issues are resolved, specific staff whose services are required will be called upon to resume work.
The NEIP, a government initiative aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana, has yet to provide a timeline for the resolution of these challenges.
