The newly enstooled Chief of Awutu Mayenda, Nana Kofi Duku IV, has called on all citizens to unite and work together for the development of the community.
Speaking at his maiden address following his enstoolment, Nana Kofi Duku IV emphasized that progress and growth could only be achieved through a collective effort involving chiefs, elders, queens, the youth, and all residents of the traditional area.
“As a young leader, I am fully aware of the responsibility entrusted to me. However, I am confident that with the support of the chiefs, elders, and the entire community, we can achieve great things,” he stated.
The new chief urged citizens to foster peace, mutual respect, and hospitality towards all, including visitors and those seeking to contribute to the area’s development.
He also called on experienced traditional leaders to offer their wisdom and guidance, as leadership thrives on collaboration and counsel.
“It is not my duty alone to bring development to Awutu Mayenda. I need the collective effort of every individual, especially the seasoned chiefs who have been in leadership before me,” he noted.
Nana Kofi Duku IV reaffirmed his commitment to humility and inclusivity, stressing that a chief who fails to listen to advice cannot lead effectively. He further encouraged investors and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to explore opportunities within the community and support initiatives that would enhance the standard of living of its residents.
With a vision of fostering unity and sustainable development, the new chief is poised to work hand in hand with stakeholders to ensure a prosperous future for Awutu Mayenda.
