The Ngleshie Amanfrom Traditional Council has announced the ban on the movement of goats and dogs on Amanfrom stool lands.
The ban according to the traditional council is a way of enforcing traditional laws, indicating that it is forbidden for any individual to rear animals such as goats and dogs in ancient Amanfrom.
However many individuals have defied customs by rearing these animals.
Addressing the media on behalf of the Ngleshie Amanfrom Divisional Chief Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, the Akwassa-Akraman Wulomor, Nuumor Kankam II revealed that the defiance of such customs has resulted in a lot of negative implications on Traditional thus compelling Nananom to enforce their traditional laws.
He stressed that, “individuals who seek to rear goats and dogs must keep them and not leave them to move around on Amanfrom lands”, adding that people who will defy this law will face the wrath of Nananom.
Nuumor Kankam II also disclosed that the Ngleshie Amanfrom Traditional Council will on July 20 organize a massive clean up exercise head of this year’s Homowo festival.
They are therefore calling on individuals living on Ngleshie Amanfrom stool land to engage in the exercise.
