The Nkawkaw Magistrate Court has issued bench warrant for the arrest of a mortuary attendant at Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital over a missing corpse on Saturday, 11th December 2021.
The court also requested for the autopsy report of the deceased, Afua Atta who was beaten to death by a relative.
According to report, the prosecutor told the court he has no autopsy report to confirm the cause of death of the deceased. He told the court that the deceased has since been buried after the incident.
Furthermore, the court has asked the family members, doctor and nurse in charge at the Holy Family Hospital, Nkawkaw to report to the court and give details on why the deceased was buried without an autopsy report from the Hospital.
The case has been adjourned to 5th May, 2022.
Background
Afua Atta, the deceased was allegedly beaten to death by her brother’s son Kofi Kreman at Atuobikrom in the Kwahu South Municipality.
Kofi Kreman was arrested and arraigned before court by the Nkawkaw Divisional Police for murder.
