The Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw constituency, Mr. Joseph Frempong has donated some selected medical supplies to the Kwahu West Municipal health Directorate.

At a presentation in the MP’s office on Wednesday, March 4, Mr. Frempong charged the Municipal health director, Madam Celestine Asante to ensure that the provision of the medical supplies meet its intended purpose to safeguard lives in the area.
The medical supplies are part of a periodic consignment that are being made quarterly by Peace and Love hospital in Kumasi to assist hospitals within the Kwahu block.
“These are medical equipment from Peace and Love hospital in Kumasi. This is not the first time they are donating to us. They have been giving us medical supplies for a very long time. So there was the need for me to donate the items to the Municipal Health Directorate to distribute to hospitals within the constituency”,
He further cautioned the directorate, hospitals, nurses and doctors not to engage in the sale of the medical supplies donated to them to their patients.
“If we had gone to buy these items, possibly, it may have cost us around over ¢100,000 but Peace and Love is giving us freely, but then, we’re urging the hospitals, the nurses and the doctors, not to sell to their patients. These are the little things we can do to support ourselves. If you had it free and sell to others, that’s what we’re not encouraging”, he cautioned.
