The Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw, Joseph Kwasi Frimpong, has presented assorted medical consumables to the Kwahu West Municipal Health Directorate to support healthcare delivery in the municipality.
The donation, made on Wednesday, August 12, at the MP’s Office in Nkawkaw, included gloves, syringes, disinfectants, face masks, blood pressure monitors, and other essential supplies.
Presenting the items, Mr. Frimpong said the gesture forms part of his commitment to improving health services in the constituency.
“Our health facilities are under a lot of pressure. This donation is to ease the burden on our nurses and ensure patients receive quality care,” he stated.
The MP added that plans are underway to support the directorate with additional equipment and to advocate for the posting of more health personnel to rural clinics within Kwahu West.
Receiving the items, the Municipal Director of Health Services, Mrs. Celestine Asante, thanked the MP for the support. She said the consumables came at a critical time as the facilities were running low on stock.
“We are grateful. This will go a long way to improve service delivery at our CHPS compounds, health centres, and the municipal hospital,” she noted.
Heads of departments and facility in-charges present pledged to ensure the items are used judiciously for the benefit of residents.
