The grand finale of the 2026 Bryan Acheampong Foundation (BAF) Inter-Schools Quiz Competition has successfully concluded at the Abetifi Ramseyer Presbyterian Church in the Kwahu East District.

Three schools Abetifi Presby JHS, Nkwatia St. Peter’s JHS, and Kwahu Tafo SDA JHS advanced to the final stage of the competition. After an intense and competitive question-and-answer session designed to test the intellectual depth and analytical abilities of the contestants, Nkwatia St. Peter’s JHS emerged victorious.

For their outstanding performance, the winning school received an HP desktop computer, a printer, and a set of books. First runner-up Abetifi Presby JHS also took home an HP desktop computer, printer and a set of books, while Kwahu Tafo SDA JHS won a desktop computer and text books.

Delivering the opening address, Kwahu East District Director of Education, Kwame Somuah, commended the Bryan Acheampong Foundation for its continued investment in education within the district.
“When organizations invest in education, they invest in the future of the community,” he stated.

He described the event as more than a competition, noting that it served as a celebration of knowledge, intellectual excellence, and teamwork. Mr. Somuah further emphasized the critical role of quiz competitions in Ghana’s educational system, explaining that they promote academic excellence and encourage students to extend learning beyond the classroom.

In total, 56 Junior High Schools from the seven educational circuits in the Kwahu East District participated in the preliminary rounds of the 2026 BAF Quiz Competition. Seven schools advanced to the semi-finals, with three ultimately competing in the grand finale.

The competition was organized at designated circuit centres to ensure wide participation and effective coordination across the district.
The Bryan Acheampong Foundation continues to champion educational development and youth empowerment initiatives within the Kwahu East District and beyond.
