Concerned Youth of Ajumako Ochiso in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region has sounded a note of caution to all politicians and other political parties to fix their deplorable road first before they will allow political campaign in the town.

According to the youth, “we will be force to drive or beat any politicians who would step in the town if our poor road is not fix.”

The youth further threatened to cease and beat any politician who will campaign at the Ajumako Ochiso community in the next polls “if they fail to fulfil their campaign promises on roads.”

Speaking to journalists about the poor nature of the road, the youth said “we are fed up with politicians empty promises during every election year which has seen no development in the area.”

An opinion leader of the youth, Mr Samuel Essien said it will take a normal time of 20 minutes to commute from Ajumako Ochiso to Agona Swedru if the road is motorable but due to the bad state of the road, drivers spend almost two hours before accessing the Swedru township.

“Economically it doesn’t sound good as we spend so much money on buying spare parts each week and the situation has also translated into high cost of lorry fares in the area,” he stated

He said the road is gradually becoming a death trap for commuters and especially pregnant women.

They are therefore appealing to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Road and High Minister to resolve their road challenge else we will be force to block the deplorable road from commuters.

“We want to see contractor working on the road within a month time else we are going to block the road and will not allow anybody vehicle to use it.,” the Angry Youth revealed.
