The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the resolution of an incident involving the broken seal of an electoral material bag in Koforidua, Eastern Region.
The bag, intended for distribution to one of the constituencies, was discovered with a broken seal during its removal from the armoury.
Investigations revealed that the seal came off due to packing and unpacking during the handling of the materials.
The broken seal was located, and stakeholders, including the Electoral Commission and representatives of political parties, verified that the bag’s contents remained intact.
The Police have assured the public that the incident has been fully addressed, and the integrity of the electoral process remains uncompromised.
