In July 3, barely a week ago, two people lost their lives following a violent altercation at Bobo Shanti, a well-known weed base in Nkawkaw.
The first victim, identified as Baba Salau, believed to be in his thirties, was allegedly stabbed to death by a pub attendant during a fight over a cigarette.

In the tragic turn of events, a local meat seller, renowned for his chinchinga business reportedly collapsed and died upon hearing the news of his son’s stabbing.
Residents called for the demolition of Bobo Shanti, citing its frequent violent incidents and loss of lives. Some angry individuals have already vandalized parts of the pub in protest.
Baba Salau’s body has been deposited at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Mortuary, while police continue their search for the suspect, who remains at large.
At a crunch security meeting held today, July 8, with reps from both the Obomeng palace, and Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, the two authorities have resolved to demolish a popular drug haven Boboshanti spot situated in the heart of Nkawkaw.
The decision follows the recent murder of a young man identified as Nana Salau and nicknamed ONE TOSKA, which has brought the number of persons been gruesomely killed to eight (8) since the operationalization of the spot.
Mr. Tamimu Halidu, MCE for Kwahu West indicated that the demolition will be effected on Thursday, July 10.
