The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tamekloe Esq., has addressed the 77th Annual New Year School and Conference, outlining the Authoritys role in promoting sustainable development through effective regulation of Ghanas downstream petroleum sector.
Speaking on the theme Building the Ghana We Want Together for Sustainable Development, the NPA Chief reaffirmed the Authoritys commitment to ensuring the availability of quality and affordable petroleum products to drive economic growth and national development.
He noted that the NPA remains focused on fair pricing, strict regulatory compliance, and reliability in fuel supply, in line with the governments reset agenda.
Mr. Tamekloe also announced the establishment of a Steering Committee to support the implementation of the governments 24-hour economy initiative within the downstream petroleum sector, in line with President John Dramani Mahamas vision.
The conference brought together policymakers, academics, industry players, and religious leaders to deliberate on key national development issues and chart a sustainable path forward for Ghana.
The NPA Chief commended the University of Ghana and the organizers of the New Year School for sustaining the annual platform over the years and assured the Authoritys readiness to collaborate with academia and the private sector to advance Ghanas development agenda.
