The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced guidelines ahead of its parliamentary primaries scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Ahead of the final lap of the party’s primaries, a total of 326 candidates have been approved by the party to contest in the parliamentary primaries.
A statement signed by the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua noted that the guidelines have been put in place to ensure fairness and integrity of the electoral.
According to the party, the Electoral Commission (EC) is expected to conduct and supervise the elections nationwide.
The party also mentioned that, “There will be one voting centre in each constituency nationwide but in constituencies where there are many delegates, the Electoral Commission (EC) may create additional polling stations at the centre to ensure a speedy process”.
The New Patriotic Party has also cautioned candidates who plan to camp or bus delegates to voting centres to put a stop to it adding that, candidates will be sanctioned if found.
