Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, former Majority Leader of Parliament, has said the New Patriotic Party is currently unattractive to Ghanaians.

Addressing party supporters abroad, the former Suame Member of Parliament explained that the party is fortunate to have the defeated 2024 presidential candidate Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as its flagbearer for the 2028 elections, who is capable of rebranding the party.

He said, “At the moment we have to step out to bring everyone on board. We can’t stay indoors and pray for change. we must work hard .We must restructure and reposition the party to recapture power.”

He urged party supporters to stop discrimination and the divisive style of running the party at the various levels.

He expressed hope that if the party adopts this strategy through the ongoing reconciliation process, the NPP will be in a position to defeat the NDC in the 2028 elections.
