The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a statement denying allegations of contractual engagement with a Ukrainian firm called Brandcom.

The allegations were made in an article published on AllAfrica.com on July 31, 2025, which claimed that the NPP had paid Brandcom $280,000 for an online smear campaign.

According to the NPP, the claims made in the article are “completely false, baseless, and defamatory.”

The party has stated that it has no contractual relationship with Brandcom, either past or present, and that it has never engaged, authorized, or instructed any foreign agency to operate fake social media accounts, produce smear campaign content, or undertake any unethical digital activities during the 2024 presidential campaign or any other cycle.

The NPP has emphasized its commitment to conducting campaigns based on integrity, policy, and a commitment to the democratic process.

The party has rejected any insinuation that undermines its record of issue-based campaigning and respect for democratic norms.

The NPP has demanded an immediate retraction of the false claims made in the article and has reserved the right to pursue legal action against Brandcom and any media outlet that publishes or republished these unsubstantiated allegations.

In a statement signed by the National Communications Directorate, the NPP encouraged all media institutions and the public to be vigilant against misinformation, especially from faceless entities seeking to discredit legitimate political actors.

The party remains focused on building a prosperous Ghana through bold, transparent, and ethical leadership.
