The concern Youth of the New Patriotic Patriotic in Atwima Mponua constituency in the Ashanti Region, has said the Party Executive in the Atwima Mponua district needs to get in touch with grassroots people if they want to win the 2024 election.
According to them, the 2020 aspiring member of parliament in the Atwima Mponua constituency, Mr John Ofori popularly known as “Commando” is the only person who can mobilize the NPP youth to win the 2024 parliamentary elections by closing the gap between NPP and NDC.
According to them, it is critical that the leadership of the Region and the constituency act in earnest to locate the cause at the heart of these uncharacteristic occurrences that have rocked the party.
“It is important to state that, while the vast majority in the grassroots in the constituency is affected or unhappy with the leadership disconnect, they have elected to remain patient and supportive of the party and government. In other words, the patriotic conduct of the larger grassroots membership in the constituency demonstrates that the isolated excesses of the few are indeed antithetical to the character and values of the New Patriotic Party,” they told the media.
Leader of the group, Mr Francis Feyin Akwaboah addressing the media said, the party must approach grassroots engagement, not merely as an attempt to appease the frustrations of the grassroots, but rather as a sustained strategy for the long-term success of the party.
Mr Francis Feyin Akwaboah noted that the leadership of the constituency must rise to the occasion to lead primarily, to create and maintain a calm and supportive party environment.
Meanwhile, the aspiring member of parliament for Atwima Mponua constituency, Mr John Ofori popularly known as “Commando” has provided financial assistance of Ghc 1,000 to the Atwima Mponua constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to support party’s constituency Annual Delegate’s Conference held few weeks ago.
“The support will help ease the burden of the Constituency in the Region, as the party prepares for a resounding victory in Election 2024.
“The conference is under Article 7(27) and Article 9(25) of the NPP’s constitution which states here shall be Constituency and Regional Annual Delegates Conference respectively.
The NPP Youth in the constituency was highly impressed by the overwhelming generosity shown by Mr John Ofori in that regard.
