The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the leading opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), are scheduled to hold press conferences at their respective party headquarters today, Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
The agenda for both conferences includes the ambulance trial involving Minority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, as well as claims by the third accused, Richard Jakpa, that the Attorney General approached him previously to help build a case against the former Deputy Finance Minister.
However, the deputy Attorney General, Alfred Tuah Yeboah, has refuted these claims, thus, the NDC insists they have evidence to prove Richard Jakpa’s claims.
In addition, the NDC, led by National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, will present the video of Richard Jakpa and the Attorney General at 2 p.m. at their Adabraka party office.
Addressing the theme of “Desperate attempt by the NDC to shield Ato Forson from accountability,” the NPP press conference is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm and will be led by private legal practitioner Frank Davies at the party’s headquarters, Asylum Down.
