The New Patriotic Party (NPP)  has officially closed nominations for its presidential primaries.

The party opened nominations for flagbearer aspirants to pick up and submit forms on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Ten out of the 11 flagbearer hopefuls who picked nomination forms successfully filed.

Before nominations were officially closed on Saturday, June 24, 2023, Member of Parliament (MP) for Essikado-Ketan, Joe Ghartey successfully submitted his forms.

After submitting, the MP assured the large group of supporters who accompanied him to the party’s headquarters that he is ready and determined to bring change to the party and the country.

The former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice pledged to focus on fostering economic growth, eradicating corruption, and improving the living standards of all Ghanaians.

Mr. Joe Ghartey who served under former President Kufuor’s administration and introduced the “Justice For All” believes the NPP under his leadership will promote equal opportunities for all Ghanaians.

Joe Ghartey served as a former Minister of Railways Development and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

The New Patriotic Party will begin vetting of aspirants on Monday, July 3, 2023, and a superdelegate congress scheduled for August 26 to reduce the number of aspirants as their constitution demands.
