Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, has remarked on the outcome of the New Patriotic Party’s Super Delegates Congress election, which was held to select the top five of the 10 candidates that picked up nomination forms to compete in the presidential primary in November.
In an interview with Asempa FM, the Minister for Food and Agriculture begged the other four candidates who finished second-fifth to humbly concede defeat in order to save the party from holding the November 4 election.
Dr. Acheampong stated that it is certain that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the NPP’s candidate in the 2024 election.
“In my personal opinion, the November elections shouldn’t be held because Dr. Bawumia will emerge victorious. November 4 election is a foregone conclusion. I will plead with other candidates to give up and be remembered by the party. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is NPP’s candidate ahead of the 2024 election. The NPP’s spirit is behind Dr. Bawumia.” Hon. Bryan Acheampong
