One of the parliamentary candidates running against incumbent MP, Mr. Frank Ahimah Mireku, for the Abirem Constituency seat appeared before the party’s vetting committee in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital.
He was thrilled with how easy and transparent the process was for him, and he also managed to get the coveted third position on the ballot.
“I’m humbled by the show of support so far, and will not relent in the pursuit to bring progress and development to our beloved constituency, Abirem” he told the media after vetting.
During the 2019 Parliament primaries for the NPP, he was disqualified on allegations he described as baseless.
The New Patriotic opened the vetting for aspirants in all Constituencies where the party has incumbent MP’s for contest. The process is expected to end tomorrow, January 5, 2024.
