The Ghana Police Service has assured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the general public it has put in place sufficient measures ahead of Saturday’s November 4 presidential Primaries.
In a statement, the Police noted that, adequate personnel have been deployed throughout the country to provide security during and after the elections.
As part of measures put in place, the police service added that, it held series of engagement with the Electoral Commissions (EC), the party’s presidential election committee and Aspirants to ensure a peaceful elections.
“As an additional layer of security, Police body worn cameras will be deployed at all voting centres”, the statement noted
Four aspirants, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former Agriculture Minister, Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie, and former MP for Mampong, Francis Addai-Nimoh will contest the flagbearer position to lead the party to break the 8 in the 2024 general elections.
