The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a revised list of approved voting centres for its upcoming presidential primary, less than 24 hours before delegates go to the polls.
The updated document, which has been circulated to party executives and election organisers across the country, provides details of polling venues in all constituencies and regions.
Most of the designated centres are located in public schools, community centres, police facilities and other recognised public institutions, with GPS coordinates included to facilitate easy access and ensure smooth election-day operations.
The voting centres cover all 16 regions of Ghana, including Western, Central, Greater Accra, Volta, Eastern, Ashanti, Western North, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, Oti, Northern, Savannah, North East, Upper West and Upper East, highlighting the nationwide scope of the internal election.
The presidential primary, scheduled for January 31, 2026, is shaping up to be among the most keenly contested in the party’s history, as the NPP positions itself to select a flagbearer for the next general election.
Five candidates are contesting the race for the party’s top slot: former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong; Abetifi MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong; Bosomtwe MP, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; and former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.
