Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu Addo, says the party will rise again and return stronger ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at a ‘Thank you’ rally in Nkawkaw on Saturday, August 29, Mr. Konadu Addo admitted that the NPP suffered a painful defeat in the 2024 elections but said the party has learned its lessons and is rebuilding.
“The NPP will rise again. Every political party goes through difficult moments, but what matters is how you rise. We are rising, we are reorganizing, and we will be stronger,” he stated.
He said the regional leadership is embarking on a reconciliation drive to unite all aggrieved members, strengthen polling station and constituency executives, and bring back floating supporters.
According to him, the NDC government has already shown that it has no clear plan for the country, which gives the NPP a strong chance to bounce back.
“Ghanaians are watching. They are already comparing and they know the NPP is the party that delivers development. In 2028, Ghanaians will bring us back,” he added.
Mr. Konadu Addo urged party members in the Eastern Region to remain loyal, work hard at the grassroots, and support the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to lead the party to victory.
“Let us stay united, let us stay focused. The NPP will rise again and lead Ghana to prosperity,” he said.
