The National Teaching Council (NTC) has announced that the 2021 edition of the September teacher licensure examination (GTLE) scheduled to take place on September 23 and 24, 2021 has been postponed.
The Teaching Council in a statement copied to the Republic Media said the postponement of the second phase of the 2021 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination is due to circumstances beyond their control.
The release signed by the Registrar of the Council, Dr Christian Addai Poku said NTC will administer the 2021 September edition of the licensure examination on October 23 to 24, 2021 for fresh candidates and re-sitters.
“The NTC respectfully inform you that the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) which was scheduled from September 23 to 24, 2021 has been postponed to October 23 to 24, 2021,” it said.
The Council has urged principals for various GTLE centres to officially apply for a police escort in the administration of the national teacher licensure examination to ensure law and order during the examination period in October.
The postponement of the 2021 September licensure examination for graduate teachers indicates courses like literacy and Essential Professional Skills will be conducted on October 23, 2021, and Numeracy on October 24, 2021.
Applicants seeking to participate in the impending teachers’ test have been entreated to check their confirmation status before they proceed to purchase a voucher card for registration of the Ghana teacher licensure examination
