Ghanaian music icon, Obrafour has been unveiled as Ambassador for the Kwahu State Book by the Kwahu Traditional Council.
At a press conference held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, March 29, chairperson for the event, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe – Addai said, indeed it was an important moment because the unveiling was a prelude to the book which will be launched on April 16.
“Indeed, it’s very important because this is a prelude to the book that we are going to launch on April 16. This book will explain to the world who we are as Kwahu people, where we came from and where we aspire to be and at the same time we are launching one of our own, our brand Ambassador who is known as the entertainment executioner, our won Obrafour”, she stated.
Mrs. Addai congratulated Obrafour for being chosen as the brand Ambassador for the Kwahu State Book.
“If such a person has been selected as the brand Ambassador, I just want to congratulate him and to acknowledge the people on the select committee for coming up with such a great person’s name”
Taking his turn to address the gathered traditional leaders and a team of press men, the legendary Kwahu music icon acknowledged the presence of the traditional leaders and bestowed his gratitude to the Kwahuman Hene Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II for honoring him with such great feet to lead the campaign.
“I thank our Nananom gathered here, most importantly our King, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong and all the leaders around him. I know when one is mentioned as an Ambassador, I’m nowhere near that task but I’m very privileged and happy that I’ve been selected to steer the campaign of the Kwahu State Book. I thank the Ghana State Book and all the technocrats who put heads together to come up with curative ideas and the need on why we have to compile the history of Kwahu where they come from”, he said.

Obrafour promised that, with such an opportunity given him, he will use all the necessary tools available to him and his influence to ensure that the Kwahu State Book becomes a success for the Kwahu people.
“And for this opportunity to lead this project, I will make sure to keep myself unabated and ensure that this project brings good deeds to the Kwahu People”, said Obrafour.
The Kwahu Traditional Council in conjunction with the Ghana State book will launch the Kwahu State Book on April 16, 2022 at the Mpraeso social Center.
