A 27-year-old man, identified as Sylvester has allegedly killed his girlfriend after threatening to jilt him if he continued with his excessive smoking habit at Obuase-Abompe in the Ashanti Region.
Abena is said to have told Sylvester she was fed up inhaling marijuana smoke which was affecting her health, sources say.
Promising to quit smoking, the suspect then asked Abena for money to buy the last roll of weed but she refused.
Sylvester also went to a friend who is a barber to ask him for money to buy the roll of weed but his friend also refused and told him he could teach him the job to enable him make money to fund his smoking lifestyle.
Later, around 10pm that day, Abena was found dead in Sylvester’s room.
Some neighbors claim they heard three gunshots from the direction of the suspects house.
He is currently on the run as police pursue him.
