The management of Akyem Oda Government Hospital in the Birim Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region has responded to the allegations made by the media about the critical shortage of oxygen in the mentioned health facility.
In a communique issued and intercepted by myrepubliconline.com, the Medical Superintendent at Akyem Oda Government Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel K. Acquaah-Harrison stated that it was not true that there was a critical shortage of oxygen at the hospital.
“During the reporting period, there was no cancellation of surgeries due to oxygen shortage as alleged by the media. There was, however, a problem with the installation of the oxygen plant at the accident and emergency unit which is being worked on,” he stated.
