A 40-year-old police officer, Sergeant Korankye Brown, has died by suicide at the Duayaw Nkwanta Police Station in the Ahafo Region.
The incident occurred while Brown was on duty at the charge office, where he allegedly used his service weapon to end his life.
Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy, but preliminary reports suggest that Brown was alone at the time of the incident. Witnesses claim that he fired the gun beneath his chin, leading to his instant death.
