A Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso North, a Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Collins Ntim, and the District Chief Executive, Albert Sefa Boampong, have made a generous donation to over 2,000 widows in the constituency.
The donation presented comprised clothes, drinks, biscuits, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The MP’s and the DCE’s gesture aim to assist widows in celebrating the New Year festivities with their families, and he reassured them of his ongoing support.
Speaking to the media in an interview, Hon. Collins Ntim said, “It’s time for them to cater for the needy and valuable because it is in the Bible that “Blessed is merciful for they shall obtain mercy.”
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Offinso North District, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong, encourages that the fact that their spouse is not around means they can’t make it in life, so they should work hard, and the Lord will see them through in their doing.
Mad Cecilia Anto, President of the Widows Association of Offinso North, expressed her gratitude for the donation made by Hon. Collins Ntim.
