The Municipal Chief Executive for Oforikrom, Anwel Ahmed Sadat, celebrated his birthday by spreading joy to the less fortunate in his municipality.
Together with Officials from the Municipal Assembly, He visited the Life Community Special and Vocational School, All Nations Charity Home, and King Jesus Charity Home, where he donated food items and cash.
At the special school, Sadat donated 15 cartons of water, 14 cartons of soft drinks, and 3 containers of ground paste, as well as GH¢6,000. The charity homes each received GH¢2,000 and similar food items.
The MCE’s visit was warmly received by the management and residents of the homes. He interacted with the students and residents, and encouraged them to stay positive and hopeful.
Sadat’s birthday gesture is part of his efforts to give back to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.
The MCE pledged his unwavering commitment to complete abandoned projects at the Life Community Special School in Deduako, Ashanti Region.
The school has been facing numerous challenges, including incomplete classroom blocks, dormitories, and library, which have hindered teaching and learning.
The MCE has therefore, promised to address the challenges and ensure the completion of the abandoned projects.
He praised the teachers for their dedication to the students, despite their health challenges.
The Education Director, Mrs. Dorothy Opare-Baidu, highlighted the need for vocational materials, stating that the students are eager to learn artisanal skills but lack the necessary resources.
She appealed to the government and stakeholders to provide the necessary support to enhance the students’ learning experience.
