One person is reported to have died as illegal miners attack Golden Star Wassa Mining Company’s office at Benso.
The illegal miners are said to have allegedly set ablaze equipment at the office.
The incident is said to have started in the early hours of Friday March 17, 2023.
It is not clear what brought about the chaos but according to the police, calm has been restored and investigations are underway.
The Police also confirmed that one person is dead whiles four other individuals have been injured in the process.
