The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, who doubles as the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has disclosed that the former Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, will launch the performance tracker in March.
He made this known during the inaugural ceremony of the party’s campaign and manifesto committee on Wednesday, February 28 at the Alisa Hotel.
According to him, the performance tracker is introduced to allow citizens to scrutinize the work of the government.
“So in terms of record, our record is superior and we are going to put it out for public scrutiny as the president mentioned Performance tracker in the State of the Nation address which Kojo Oppong Nkrumah will launch very soon for us in the next month”, Dr. Bawumia said.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo revealed on Tuesday, February 27, that, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is coming up with what will allow everyone and anyone to check on every project being undertaken by the government without having to listen to the President’s Message on the State of the Nation.
Delivering the State of the Nations Address in Parliament, the president referred to this project as the “Performance Tracker” and it will be formally launched in March.
“This year, we are taking things to a higher level. This Government, after all, is the Digitalisation Government, and the man who has led the entire digitalisation process these past seven (7) years, my indefatigable Vice
President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Digitalisation, the NPP’s excellent presidential candidate for the 2024 election, is coming up with what will allow everyone and anyone to check on every project being undertaken
by the government without having to listen to the President’s message on the State of the Nation. We are calling it the Performance Tracker“, the president said.
