Flagbeaer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedey Agyapong, has issued a strong caution to his party delegates not to make a mistake and vote for any other candidate apart from him.

He said this when he was addressing party members during his Showdown Walk on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

According to the Assin Central Member of Parliament, he is the only candidate capable of “breaking the 8” for the party.

“I am boldly and confidently telling you today that if you make a mistake and vote for any other person apart from me, opposition is just staring at you,” he warned.

Mr. Agyapong went on to explain that the NPP has already lost the upcoming elections in advance as a result of the Akufo-Addo-led administration’s poor economic management, which has enraged Ghanaians.

“In the 2024 elections that we are going, the NPP lost that election in 2022 because when the cedi depreciated for businessmen to lose their monies, they made up their minds. When the middle class and pensioners lost their monies to domestic debt exchange, they made up their minds. Any time Ghana refuse to speak up because of hardships, means they have made their minds,” he said.

However, he added that “There is one man in NPP, who Ghanaians have said they are going to vote for, if you give him the lap, and that person is Kennedy Agyapong.”

Kennedy Agyapong will contest to with Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, former Agriculture Minister, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and former Mampong MP, Addai Nimo for flagbearer slot on November 4, 2023.
