Prime suspect in the stabbing incident that occurred at the O’Reilly Senior High School leading to the death of an 18-year-old final year student has been remanded in police custody.
Appearing in court on Thursday, September 5, the suspect who is also 18 years was charged with murder by the La District court.
The suspect is however expected to reappear on Thursday, September 19.
Edward Borketey Sackey, the deceased, lost his life after being stabbed three times by Godwin, the suspect after an altercation, which reportedly stemmed from a minor dispute.
Reports alleged that the deceased allegedly slapped the suspect who was not initially involved in the dispute.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has since condemned the incident and commiserated with the family of the deceased.
The GES further assured the family of conducting its administrative investigations and ensuring calm on campus while the Ghana Police Service also investigates the criminal aspect.
